Greetings!
What a blessing it is for my family and me to join the Speedwell Church Family. Thanks to
everyone for welcoming us as your new pastoral family. We are excited about being part
of Speedwell Church during this new season of ministry. We look forward to working with
each person as we strive to do God’s will.
So that you will know us a little better, I want to tell you more about the Culbreth Family:
I am a native of Twin City, GA. I graduated from the University of Georgia, Journalism Degree and Gammon Theological Seminary—Masters of Divinity. I worked as a religion writer and
general assignment reporter for The Clarion—Ledger Newspaper in Jackson, MS. I served as Pastor at the following churches: Aldersgate UMC in Jackson, MS, Asbury UMC and chaplain at Rust College in Holly Springs, MS, and Grace
UMC, Savannah, GA.
I have been serving at Speedwell UMC, Savannah, GA since December 2010.
I am married to Gloria M. Culbreth, a native of Jackson, MS. Gloria is a licensed social worker who works for Saint Joseph/Candler at a senior adult living center.
We have two sons, who are students and also active in sports. Micah plays football & basketball and Malachi enjoys basketball & soccer.
